  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  • If using, sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped nuts evenly across the pan’s bottom.
  • Prepare the cake mix by combining it with eggs, oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour the cake batter over the coconut and nuts. Spread evenly.
  • Place sliced strawberries on top of the batter.
  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, melted butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter. Use a knife or skewer to create swirls.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  • Cool for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
