- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- If using, sprinkle shredded coconut and chopped nuts evenly across the pan’s bottom.
- Prepare the cake mix by combining it with eggs, oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the cake batter over the coconut and nuts. Spread evenly.
- Place sliced strawberries on top of the batter.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, melted butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter. Use a knife or skewer to create swirls.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Cool for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
