  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Bisquick or all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the sausage and cream cheese, mixing until smooth.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese, drained Rotel tomatoes, Bisquick (or flour), and optional seasonings. Stir to combine until fully mixed.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can freeze the sausage balls before baking. Place the formed balls on a baking sheet and freeze for 1-2 hours, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake directly from the freezer for about 25-30 minutes.
