- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup Bisquick or all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sausage and cream cheese, mixing until smooth.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese, drained Rotel tomatoes, Bisquick (or flour), and optional seasonings. Stir to combine until fully mixed.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can freeze the sausage balls before baking. Place the formed balls on a baking sheet and freeze for 1-2 hours, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake directly from the freezer for about 25-30 minutes.
- Adjust the spice level by using mild, medium, or hot Rotel tomatoes.
