Ingredients
- 1 ½ teaspoons high-quality matcha powder
- ½ cup hot water
- 24 ladyfingers (savoiardi)
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 4 large egg yolks
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Additional matcha powder for dusting
Instructions
Whisk the matcha powder and hot water in a bowl until dissolved. Allow to cool.
In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until smooth. Add mascarpone cheese and mix until fully combined.
Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks in a separate bowl. Gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled matcha soak, then layer them at the bottom of a dish.
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Dust with matcha powder before serving.
Notes
- For a firmer texture, refrigerate the tiramisu overnight.
- You can add a bit of sweetened red bean paste for additional flavor, though it’s optional.
