Description
Sweet and savory grilled cheese sandwich made with fresh peaches, sharp white cheddar, and a drizzle of honey. Perfect for summer lunch.
Ingredients
4 slices sourdough bread
1 ripe peach, thinly sliced
1 1/2 cups white cheddar cheese, shredded or sliced
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
Fresh thyme or arugula (optional)
Instructions
1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
2. On the unbuttered side, layer cheddar cheese, peach slices, and a drizzle of honey. Add thyme if desired.
3. Top with second slice of bread, buttered side out.
4. Heat a skillet over medium. Grill sandwich for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
5. Let rest 1 minute before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use ripe, firm peaches for best texture.
Substitute white cheddar with fontina or Gruyère if desired.
Add prosciutto or crispy bacon for extra flavor.
