- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2–3 fresh jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for milder heat)
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (optional)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Vegetable oil for frying (or olive oil for baking)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: Soften cream cheese in a bowl. Mix in diced jalapeños, shredded cheese (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- Assemble the Rolls: Lay one egg roll wrapper flat in a diamond shape. Place 1-1.5 tbsp of the filling near the bottom. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal the top corner with water. Repeat for all wrappers.
- Cook the Rolls:
- For frying: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry rolls for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- For baking: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place rolls on a baking sheet, brush with oil, and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve: Allow to cool slightly, then serve with dipping sauces like ranch, sweet chili, or salsa.

- You can freeze uncooked rolls for up to 3 months and fry or bake directly from frozen.
