- 2 cups cabbage, finely chopped
- 1 cup green peppers, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, grated
- 2 cups vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon celery seeds
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Instructions
- Prepare vegetables by chopping and grating them.
- Sprinkle salt over the vegetables and let them sit for an hour.
- Combine vinegar, sugar, and spices in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Drain vegetables and add them to sterilized jars.
- Pour brine over vegetables, seal jars, and let cool.
- Store in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before serving.
